CLAS OHLSON LOWER ITS ENERGY WITH LED TECHNOLOGY
2013 Clas Ohlson the first store, which is equipped exclusively with LEDs in general lighting and spotlights. In this way, we reach 30% less energy and saves more than 43 000 kW per year, equivalent to the annual energy consumption for two average-sized houses.
“Equipping our new stores, with only LED lighting, thus significantly lowering the Group’s total energy consumption, is a pilot project that we previously only tested at one of our stores in Norway. The investment will be carefully evaluated and our hope is that within about a year to have gone over to LED in all our new stores, “says Bo Heyman, Director of Establishment Clas Ohlson AB.
The store in Nova Lund Clas Ohlson Group is the 182nd stores, and 76 stores in Sweden. Store surface area of 1250 square meters and the catchment area amounts to approximately 110 000 inhabitants.
